Here are some of the questions we are often asked. If you have other questions, please contact us by using the information on the contact us page. (Click on the question to see the answer or scroll through the list.)
Who are your clients? Our clients include hospitals and hospital/healthcare systems, nursing education schools, as well as healthcare manufacturing and distribution organizations.
We are continually adding to our client list, yet continue to focus in the healthcare arena.
We subscribe to multiple job search boards for both search and job postings. Having been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, we are well networked both from a clinical and administrative perspective.
What about relocation? At out initial discussions, if relocation would be necessary based on the geographical location of the candidate to the job opening; we discuss whether or not relocation is an option for the candidate before going further with discussions regarding the position. If relocation is required, our clients typically offer to cover at least a significant portion of relocation expenses. We often can negotiate relocation expenses as part of a hiring package on behalf of the candidate.
How long does it take? Candidate searches are done only on the basis of existing job openings made available to Barquist Zitzke Associates, LLC. The length of the hiring process is dependent on the urgency of the hiring need, how promptly required credentials are produced, and how the interviewing process progresses between the client and the candidate.
What do you need from me? Most positions we recruit for require licensure; at minimum a current copy of licensure or credentials authorizing practice in the hiring state, and 3 references are required. Other credentials are based on the area of practice (i.e., whether subject o JCAHO requirement, physician credentialing, or educational organizations which require official college transcripts). Any additional or unusual hiring requirements are set by the client, and discussed with candidates.
Will my present employer be able to tell to know that I’m looking for a job? All candidate searches and discussions of open positions are done in a confidential manner. Posting a resume on job boards always poses some risk that an employer can find a candidate resume posted by simply browsing the site. We have no control or privacy protection influence in such circumstances. No resumes are submitted to a client without first securing permission from the candidate to submit to a client for a job opening discussed with the candidate. When references are requested, discussions regarding confidentiality and non-disclosure should be brought to the attention of Barquist Zitzke Associates, LLC, by the candidate if this is a desired posture. Privacy requests will be honored. We value the relationship and responsibility we have to our candidates as well as to our clients.
What happens if I don’t get hired? If a candidate is not hired by a client, the candidate is asked if their resume may be kept on file. “Kept on file” status means that we will continue to try to match that candidates credentials to any current job opening. We make every effort to try to remain in touch with former candidates on an on-going and long term basis.
